Cityscape Portraits: 'Katrina Louise' - C-Type Print (OE)

Regular price £200.00

"This photograph is meaningful and a bit sentimental to me too because it was taken on the roof of my studio's building in Hackney Wick (East London), a roof that's been locked up for years now. It's a beautiful souvenir for a roof that used to be a gathering place for so many wonderful warm / cold days and nights. A community spot for BBQs, a place where you can go for a smoke or bring your food up and run into your neighbours. This is where myself and hundreds of other people stood to watch the London 2012 Olympics fireworks. This is where I started my project Dancers on Rooftops. Countless memories. The landlord locked it up for insurance reasons and then started building new penthouse units on it."

Katrina Louise is an Australian born London based circus artist and burlesque performer. She always amazed me with her beautiful toned physique and the close relationship she has with her snake pets.
Here she stands with Mango, a Brazilian Rainbow Boa and Sunny, a Royal Python.
Hackney Wick, London, UK. August 20, 2014.
