Human Nature is a curated selection of pieces from outdoor photoshoots created over a period of a decade+ From the dead trees and weeping willows of Hackney Marshes in London to the caves and mountains that border Sfunim Stream near Hopper’s hometown of Atlit. From giant olive trees on a Greek island to the alien terrain of the Dead Sea in Israel. The project is an ongoing homage to human form and nature. A search for the point at which a Place becomes an entity in its own right.

On a personal note:

Immortalising a time fragment in a photograph can be mystical and magical. With these prints, I want to share that enigma with you. When looking at them, I hope you feel some of the wonder and awe I experienced when I photographed those images — reminding you that moments of beauty and grace persist even within the chaos of the world around us.

Thank you in advance for all of your support!

Ben Hopper 🙏❤️

Materials

All papers and wood-based materials are made in Germany and sourced from Forestry Stewardship Council-certified sustainable sources(FSC®-certified).

Prints are made with museum-quality Giclée printing (specialised high-resolution inkjet printer), presented on acid-free 308 gsm Hahnemühle Photorag art paper, with guaranteed 100+ years of archival life. Hahnemühle is the world’s oldest mill, producing fine-art papers for 500+ years.
The super matt finish of Hahnemüle Photorag makes it one of the most popular papers amongst artists, illustrators & photographers alike. The paper gives muted blacks with even colour reproduction and excellent detail. The surface has minimal texture with a chalky smooth cotton feel which creates smooth colour gradients. It has a delicate surface, so it's recommended to have extra care when handling.

Provenance

All prints include:

  • My signature and edition number on the front of the print
  • A unique signed & numbered Certificate of Authenticity
